The Iowa Finance Authority will be administering $195 million in rent and utility assistance through the Federal Emergency Rental Assistance Program. We are awaiting required program guidance to be issued by the U.S. Treasury. As soon as this guidance is available, the program will open for applications as soon as possible.
More Information HereFunding for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) has been provided under the recent Cares Act passed by Congress and the application period ends April 30. Iowa families finding it difficult to pay their utility bills due to COVID-19 can apply for the Energy Assistance program at their local community action agency.
