Derecho Storm Relief

The Iowa Association of REALTORS® is offering relief, including assistance with mortgage payments and rental costs of up to $1,000, for eligible individuals affected by the Derecho on August 10, 2020.

Step Up, Mask Up

Gov. Reynolds recently launched a social media campaign to encourage Iowans to “Step Up, Mask Up” and  help slow the spread of COVID-19. To help raise awareness, consider posting a photo of yourself wearing a mask on your personal social networks and use the hashtag #StepUpMaskUpIA.

Iowa Emergency Solutions Grant CARES Act (ESG-CV)

The Iowa Finance Authority has awarded the first round of Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Cares Act funds. The ESG program is a homeless assistance program with eligible activities including Street Outreach, Shelter, Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Rehousing. The supplemental funding was made available through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Approximately $9 million was awarded in the first round.

Iowa Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program

Funding for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) has been provided under the recent Cares Act passed by Congress and the deadline for individuals to apply has been extended to June 30, 2020. Iowa families finding it difficult to pay their utility bills due to COVID-19 can apply for the Energy Assistance program at their local community action agency.
