However, obtaining enough capital to pursue the dream of a future in production agriculture can be challenging for our next generation of farmers. That’s why the Iowa Finance Authority offers several programs specifically designed to assist new farmers in attaining their goal. We know you’re purchasing more than land or livestock—it’s a heritage and future.

Beginning Farmer Loan Program

This program assists new farmers in acquiring farmland, buildings, machinery, equipment or breeding livestock at reduced interest rates.

Iowa offers an incentive to landowners for leasing their farmland, machinery or equipment to beginning farmers.
