Iowa Finance Authority Announces 2022 Preferred Homeownership Lenders

Homeownership

The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) today announced that a total of 23 lenders have earned IFA’s 2022 Preferred Lender designation. IFA Preferred Lenders serve as ambassadors for Iowa homebuyers seeking assistance with the homeownership process and are trained in IFA mortgage, down payment and closing costs assistance programs.

IFA offers affordable mortgage, down payment and closing costs assistance programs for eligible homebuyers through a seamless process with a network of hundreds of valued Participating Lenders across the state. Local lenders assisted 2,717 Iowans in purchasing a home using IFA programs in fiscal year 2022.

“I congratulate the 23 loan officers who recently earned IFA’s Preferred Lender designation,” said IFA Executive Director Debi Durham.

“With September being National Mortgage Professional Month, it is an excellent time to recognize our lending partners for assisting Iowans in achieving homeownership, a leading driver of wealth creation and economic mobility.”

All IFA Participating Lenders serve as a trusted resource for homebuyers in their area. IFA Preferred Lenders have received additional in-depth training and have committed to meeting various requirements including assisting a minimum number of homebuyers through IFA programs each year.

Iowa homebuyers interested in learning more about homeownership programs available to them, including eligibility information should contact an IFA lender partner. A full list of partners and more information about IFA’s programs are available at iowafinance.com.

Iowa lenders in good standing with IFA and that meet certain eligibility requirements were eligible to attend the annual Preferred Lender training at the annual HousingIowa Conference in September. The list of 2022 Preferred Lenders is available here.
