Iowa Administrative Rules Review
Pursuant to Executive Order 10, IFA is required to review all its administrative rules by September 1, 2024. Following publication of reports of the review, IFA will rescind each chapter and repromulgate rules that are necessary to keep no later than December 31, 2024.
Rule reports will be published on this page. Regulatory analyses and notices of intended action required by the order will be published in the Iowa Administrative Bulletin as they are completed.
Chapter 13 – Public Records and Fair Information Practices
IFA proposes to rescind chapter 13 and adopt a new chapter in lieu thereof. A regulatory analysis for this proposed rulemaking is expected to be published on September 18, 2024. A public hearing on the regulatory analysis will be held at IFA (1963 Bell Avenue, Des Moines), in the Missouri River Conference Room.

Chapter 16 – Petition for Declaratory Order
IFA proposes to rescind chapter 16 and adopt a new chapter in lieu thereof. A regulatory analysis for this proposed rulemaking is expected to be published on 10/2/24. A public hearing on the regulatory analysis will be held at IFA (1963 Bell Avenue, Des Moines), in the Missouri River Conference Room. The rule report is available here.
