Iowa Finance Authority Announces 2021 Top Mortgage Lenders

Homeownership

DES MOINES – The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) recently announced its 2021 top mortgage lenders. The awards were given to the lending institutions and loan originators who assisted the most homebuyers through IFA programs in 2021.

The Iowa Finance Authority offers mortgage and down payment assistance programs for Iowa homebuyers through a network of more than 400 lenders throughout the state. These partnerships offer Iowans the convenience of working with their local lender and access to IFA’s down payment and closing cost assistance programs.

In 2021, local lenders assisted more than 2,800 Iowans in purchasing a home using IFA programs.

“Homeownership helps families build wealth and achieve financial stability, and I commend our lending partners for assisting thousands of Iowans in achieving this milestone each year,” said IFA Executive Director Debi Durham.

“I congratulate our team for the work they did to help Iowans get into new homes in 2021,” said Dan Vessely, Iowa Bankers Mortgage Corporation.

“We’re proud to work with the Iowa Finance Authority and offer Iowans access to affordable mortgage, down payment and closing cost assistance programs,” said Vessely.

More information about IFA’s homeownership programs, including eligibility information and a list of lender partners is available at iowafinance.com.

Iowa Finance Authority

The Iowa Legislature created the Iowa Finance Authority, the state’s housing finance agency, in 1975 to undertake programs to assist in the attainment of housing for low- and moderate-income Iowans. Since then, the Iowa Finance Authority’s role has grown to include nearly 40 affordable housing, water quality and agricultural development programs.
